LifeCare Residences Ltd, international retirement village operator, and VINCI Construction UK, who have formed a Joint Venture to develop retirement villages in London, have already attracted 25 reservations grossing £24.3m. of sales for their first scheme, Battersea Place, under construction in a prime SW11 location.

Richard Davis, who has managed the New Zealand division of LifeCare Residences since 2007, relocated to London in January 2011 to manage the LifeCare Residences group, covering both the United Kingdom and New Zealand operations. 

“London has always been the ultimate goal for LifeCare Residences UK, there is an extensive population over 75, yet such an under-supply of quality retirement living. Practising what he preaches, Richard encouraged his own elderly  parents to move to a retirement village in Christchurch, New Zealand, where they have been living happily now for 7 years, giving him real peace of mind, especially now , as he is based on the other side of the world.

Richard brings a further 11 years of retirement village marketing, development and operational experience to the already highly experienced UK team. Prior to joining LifeCare Residences, he was General Manager of Sales and Marketing for 7 years for Metlifecare, a leading New Zealand retirement village operator with over 30 years experience.

He replaces Gavin Aleksich who returned to New Zealand with his family at the end of 2010.
